Job Title: Program Manager / Program Lead
Reports To: Learnly Africa Leadership
Contract Type: Full-Time (24 Months)

Location: Hybrid — Remote + Field presence in Kilifi, Kisumu, and Timau

Salary Range: KES. 120,000 - 150,000 Gross

Job Purpose

 

The Program Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for the implementation of Learnly Africa’s two-year digital skills and employability program. 

​

This role will oversee program planning, execution, team management, quality assurance, and stakeholder coordination to ensure the successful delivery of outcomes across all locations.

​

Key Responsibilities

​

Program Coordination & Management

​

  • Lead the development and execution of detailed work plans, implementation strategies, and program timelines.

  • Oversee day-to-day program operations across Kilifi, Kisumu, and Timau.

  • Supervise trainers, hub coordinators, and field teams, ensuring high-quality delivery.

  • Ensure effective coordination and communication between all program teams and Learnly Africa leadership.

 

Team Leadership & Oversight

  • Provide leadership, performance management, and coaching to program staff.

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and continuous development of trainers and hub support teams.

 

Program Quality & Delivery

​

  • Ensure curriculum and learning standards are adhered to across all sessions.

  • Oversee community hub operations to ensure safe, accessible, and efficient learning environments.

  • Monitor program progress and identify operational risks early, proposing proactive solutions.

 

Procurement & Operations Oversight

 

  • Oversee procurement processes for equipment, services, and program materials in partnership with the Finance team.

  • Ensure compliance with Learnly Africa procurement policies.

  • Support logistics planning, including equipment distribution and field coordination.

 

Monitoring, Learning & Reporting

 

  • Ensure effective data collection, documentation, and reporting processes.

  • Contribute to internal reports, reflections, and program improvement discussions.

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and progress toward program goals.

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Business Administration, Education, or related field.

  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience managing large-scale programs, multi-location projects, or youth development initiatives.

  • Experience supervising teams and managing field operations.

  • Strong understanding of gender-responsive programming and safeguarding.

  • Demonstrated experience working with underserved communities.
